welcome to postcards from willowford
Meet Maribeth
Hi, I’m Maribeth, the voice behind Postcards from Willowford. After years of living in a small Georgia town and caring for those I love, I felt a tug on my heart to do something just for me. It wasn’t an easy decision—I had deep roots, plenty of reasons to stay put, and even more reasons to keep playing it safe. But something in me longed for a fresh start, a new chapter, and a place where I could finally breathe and listen to my own story.
That’s how I found myself in Willowford, a salty little harbor town in Maine where fishing boats bob on the water and seagulls squabble over the day’s catch. At first glance, I stuck out like a sore thumb—my porch-sitting ways and Southern drawl don’t exactly blend in—but slowly, Willowford has been weaving itself into my life. Through this blog, I share those everyday moments, the quirks of this weathered town, and the joy of seeing life with fresh eyes.

How it started
Postcards from Willowford began as a simple idea: what if I wrote about my new life the way you’d write to a pen pal? Little stories, small-town happenings, and the kind of observations you’d tuck into a postcard. What started as my way of settling into Willowford has become a place to share the beauty of slowing down, paying attention, and finding charm in the everyday.
